This n8n workflow automates the process of discovering and verifying a person’s LinkedIn profile based on provided identifying information. The goal is to streamline LinkedIn profile discovery for prospecting, recruiting, or contact enrichment activities.
The workflow starts with a form trigger where users submit personal details such as name, title, email, and optionally, an Airtop Profile that is linked to LinkedIn. Once submitted, it can be triggered directly or via another workflow.
The core steps involve performing a Google search for the person’s name combined with ‘LinkedIn’ to locate the most relevant LinkedIn URL. The search result is sent to the ‘Search Profile URL’ node, which extracts the likely LinkedIn profile link.
Next, if an Airtop Profile is provided, the workflow verifies whether the discovered URL corresponds to the correct individual. This is done by analyzing the LinkedIn profile’s content, experience, and other details to match the initial input information. The verification step ensures high accuracy and confirms whether the profile belongs to the intended person.
The process culminates with a filter that checks if the resulting URL is valid and contains the appropriate LinkedIn path. Valid and verified URLs are returned as your trustworthy LinkedIn profile link, while invalid or unmatched results return ‘NA’.
