Automated Focus Time Scheduling Based on Calendar Activity

somdn_product_page

This n8n workflow automates the process of scheduling dedicated focus time for a user based on their weekly calendar commitments. The workflow triggers daily at 8:00 AM, retrieves all calendar events for the current week from Google Calendar, and analyzes the booked hours for each day. If a day has 6 or more hours scheduled, the workflow calculates free slots during the typical workday (9 AM to 5 PM) that are at least 15 minutes long. It then automatically creates new focus time events during these free slots, ensuring the user maintains a balanced schedule. This automation helps optimize productivity by carving out uninterrupted focus sessions, especially on days heavily booked with meetings and tasks. Practical use cases include professionals and teams seeking automated calendar management to maintain focus and reduce meeting fatigue.
