Automated Resume Screening and Candidate Communication Workflow

This n8n workflow automates the process of evaluating job candidates by collecting resumes through a WordPress form, analyzing their content, and managing subsequent email communication. When a candidate submits their resume via a form titled “Please Upload your resume,” the workflow extracts and assesses the resume file using AI-powered resume evaluation nodes. The AI evaluates the candidate’s skills, experience, and cultural fit based on predefined criteria and soft questions, providing a score and decision of ‘Proceed’ or ‘Reject.’ Based on this decision, the workflow logs candidate details and evaluation results into Google Sheets—either the ‘Accepted’ or ‘Rejected’ sheet—and sends a tailored email to the candidate via Gmail, informing them of their application status. For successful candidates, an additional email prompts them to schedule an interview. This workflow is ideal for streamlining high-volume recruitment processes, ensuring consistent candidate assessment, and saving time for HR teams.
