This n8n workflow automates the process of gathering detailed competitor research data, analyzing it, and delivering a structured summary to a Slack channel. Designed for marketing or research teams, it streamlines the collection of pricing, job postings, new features, and announcements from competitors.

The workflow begins with a webhook trigger, which receives data from a form submission where users input a competitor’s name. Once triggered, the workflow checks if the research session is marked as ‘finished’ and if the data source matches ‘n8n-competitor-demo’.

If conditions are met, the workflow fetches the detailed task data from the Browser Use Cloud API, which runs a specified research task: extracting pricing plans, job postings, new features, and announcements about the competitor.

After retrieving the structured data, the workflow formats this information into a readable message, embedding bullet points for easy reading. This formatted message is then sent to a Slack channel, providing the team with timely, comprehensive competitive insights.

This automation is particularly useful for marketing teams, product managers, or competitive analysts who need quick, consistent updates on industry competitors without manual data collection, enabling faster strategic decisions.
