When a receipt file (image or PDF) is uploaded to a specific Google Drive folder, the workflow automatically triggers. It downloads the receipt, uses VLM Run’s AI capabilities to extract key data such as merchant name, total amount, date, and currency, and then formats this data into a structured format. The extracted information is finally appended to a Google Sheet, creating a centralized database for expenses.
