Automated YouTube to Social Media Posting Workflow

somdn_product_page

This n8n workflow automates the process of sharing new YouTube videos to social media platforms, specifically Facebook and Instagram. It monitors a YouTube channel’s RSS feed for new uploads every hour. When a new video is detected, the workflow leverages OpenAI’s GPT-4 to generate engaging captions, including emojis and calls to action, tailored to your brand voice.

The generated caption, along with the video’s thumbnail, is then automatically posted to Facebook and Instagram. For Facebook, it uses the Facebook Graph API to publish directly on your page. For Instagram, it first retrieves the Business Account ID linked to the Facebook page, creates a media container with the video thumbnail, and publishes the post using the Instagram Graph API.

This workflow is ideal for content creators, social media managers, and marketing teams wishing to streamline their content distribution process, ensure consistent posting, and increase engagement by leveraging AI-generated captions. It requires setup of RSS feeds, necessary API keys, and permissions for Facebook and Instagram APIs.

Overall, the automation saves time, maintains regular posting schedules, and enhances your social media strategy without manual effort.
